At Salty Tomato, the magic truly lies in their artisanal approach. Customers rave about the perfectly charred crust that strikes a balance between crispy and chewy. As Albert “No Onions” Ruggiero notes in his review, the large cheese pizza priced at just $16 offers an incredible value, especially in a market where many establishments hike prices to $20 or more. The meat lovers pizza, with its flavorful bacon and sausage, adds an exciting touch to the typical toppings, making it a must-try, as customers have enthusiastically highlighted in various reviews.
The menu doesn’t stop at pizza; the selection of fresh salads and hearty dinners ensures there’s something for everyone. Whether you're craving a classic Caprese Salad or an indulgent plate of Chicken Parm Over Pasta, each dish is crafted with quality ingredients that shine through. The glorious thin and crispy crust of their signature pies—like the much-lauded Mac Daddy pizza, described as a life-changing experience—has captivated many patrons, including bria, who can’t stop raving about it.
Salty Tomato Pizza stands out not only for its delectable offerings but also for its welcoming ambiance. Patrons often feel right at home, just as Captain Spire described fondly about the pizza atmosphere reminiscent of the past. Conversations with the dedicated staff add to the charm, making each dining experience personal and memorable. The attentive and kind-hearted team plays a significant role in making visitors feel appreciated, as noted by Von D, who felt a warm welcome during his visit.
Furthermore, the commitment to elevating the dining experience with ongoing improvements reflects the brand's dedication to its customers. As the pizzeria expands its space, it promises to offer even more slices of home-cooked goodness to the growing community. Really decent pizza with a good char on the crust. A large cheese is only $16 which is pretty good considering most other places charge $20+ for a large cheese nowadays. I just wish the toppings were as reasonably priced as the pizza itself. :) We will definitely be going back. We got a large cheese and a large meat lovers. The bacon and the sausage on the meat lovers are really good. The pepperoni is your normal pepperoni and I honestly did not taste the meatball at all so I cannot tell you if it was good or not.

Being originally from Mount Vernon New York, I'm used to the old style of pizza restaurants where the bakers and ingredients are right there in front of you and you can smell the cooking. Fir me, the Salty Tomato makes me feel right at home. I had a great time talking with the owners and they are putting their hearts and soul into this. With the expansion work in progress, they are going to make that place into one heck of a pizzeria. The pizza crust was cooked just right, the cheese was stretchy and covered the whole pizza and the sauce brought it all together. I spent an evening there with my wife on our honeymoon and just felt like the good old days back home. The slice sizes are pretty big and we'll within a good price range. Grab a slice on the go or have a whole pizza.

Tried salty tomato pizza today. We haven’t tried since the new owner and wow, really good. The crust was so thin and crispy. We tried sausage with hot cherry peppers and a small bacon mushroom and fresh tomato and the bacon was cooked perfectly and not greasy. Definitely will order again.

Place was recommended by friends. I'm visiting family and decided to stop by. It was pretty good to me. I ordered a small clams pizza, no bacon... Portion was pretty decent for small... Flavor and texture were great to me. I like my middle softer and crust more well done so it was a good combo for me. The clams were perfect, not to over powering..... I will definitely return. It's a speciality pizza so it cost $27 dollars but I think it's reasonable. I will have half today and the other half tomorrow if I can heat it up in the oven without ruining it. It smelled so good I stopped at the beach to eat, couldn't make it to my family house. Lol The young men at the counter were polite. I felt welcomed and not like I was a bother....

The Salty Tomato Pizzeria is hands-down one of the best pizza spots I’ve been to. The crust is perfectly crisp, the sauce has that bold, slightly salty flavor that totally lives up to the name, and the cheese is always fresh and melty. You can tell they really care about quality and flavor here. I’ve tried a few different pies and every single one has been excellent. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and consistently amazing pizza. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I have driven past the Salty Tomato a million times and didn’t have them until recently; and I’m glad I did- I ordered a large meat lovers and everything was on point. The cheese pull, the crispy crust and the richness of the ingredients has made this a top rated pie on my book. I can see this pie go toe to toe with any pie in the area!
